PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a brake system capable of reducing the actuation frequency of a vacuum pump while preventing a useless control.SOLUTION: According to one mode of the invention, in a control method of brake systems 1 and 2, in which an intake pipe 32 and an inlet 18a of an electric vacuum pump 18 are connected to a vacuum chamber of a brake booster 12, an idle ignition timing advance control is performed for a prescribed time under a first control condition containing as condition items: that a booster internal pressure bpm is higher than a predetermined pressure A; that an engine is in an idle running state; and that the booster internal pressure bpm is higher than (an intake pipe internal pressure pm-a vacuum pressure rise allowance C). |
