<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of improving the reliability of reading a bar code.SOLUTION: A bar code reader 10 includes: a light-reception signal generation part 11 which projects light to a bar code 18, receives reflected light from the bar code 18, and converts the reflected light into electrical signals to generate light-reception signals; a filter circuit 13 for generating filter signals among the light-reception signals generated by the light-reception signal generation part 11; a window detection circuit 14 for determining whether or not bar pattern information is included in the filter signals; a switch circuit 15 which selects the filter signals when it is determined that the bar pattern information is not included in the filter signals and selects the light-reception signals when the bar pattern information is included in the filter signals; a binary signal generation circuit 16 for binarizing the signals selected by the switch circuit 15 and generating the binary signals; and a decoding circuit 17 for decoding the binary signals.</p> |
