PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steamer for cooking pot, which improves the cooked state by applying sufficient quantity of heat to food material on a central part of an inner side portion, and to provide a rice cooker using the steamer.SOLUTION: A steamer 100 is stored in an inner pot 10 by being suspended on a circumferential edge of the inner pot 10, and cooks food material using steam generated in the inner pot 10 by that the inner pot 10 is heated by heating means. The steamer 100 includes: an outer side part 110 whose upper end 111 is suspended by the circumferential edge of the inner pot 10; a cylindrical bottomed inner side part 120 formed inside the outer side part 110, and a plurality of openings 140, 140, ... formed between an outer peripheral edge of the inner side part 120 and a sidewall of the inner pot 10. A protrusion 130 protruding upward is formed in a substantially central upper surface of the inner side part 120. |
