PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll sheet transfer apparatus capable of adjusting motor drive for transferring a roll sheet at a proper timing without performing any specific identification action and maintaining tension of a sheet to be transferred constant and to provide a transfer control method.SOLUTION: The roll sheet transfer apparatus detects moment of inertia of a roll sheet at a proper timing during recording by storing in advance in a storage section a relation between frictional load torque applied to the roll sheet and mass. As a result, optimum tension of a sheet to be transferred may be maintained by properly adjusting drive control of a paper feed motor and a transfer motor without performing any specific identification action. |
