PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of generating a text satisfactorily consistent with a sense perceived by human beings when they look at image data, from the image data comprising plural frames.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: a feature amount extractor (44) which extracts a feature amount relating to the difference between frames with respect to the image data comprising the frames; a varying part extractor (45) which extracts a varying part where variation in the feature amount exceeds a predetermined threshold; and a text generator (50) which acquires information from the frames within a predetermined range from the varying part and generates a text using the acquired information.
