PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of discriminating whether or not a feed of bills inserted in a deposit/withdrawal slot to a conveyance path goes around even when a plurality of abnormal bills to which a same serial number is added are included in the bills inserted in the deposit/withdrawal slot.SOLUTION: A deposit/withdrawal machine 10 includes: a deposit/withdrawal slot in which a plurality of bills are inserted; a feed section that sequentially separates the bills from one side of the plurality of bills present in the deposit/withdrawal slot and feeds them to the conveyance path; a differentiation section 24 that differentiates the bills fed from the conveyance path; an accumulation section that, when a bill differentiated by the differentiation section 24 is determined as an abnormal bill, accumulates the abnormal bill to the other of the bills left in the deposit/withdrawal slot; and a control section 18 that determines whether or not a serial number of the abnormal bill matches the serial number of the differentiated bill that has been differentiated prior to the abnormal bill by the differentiation section 24 and, when the serial number of the abnormal bill matches the serial number of the differentiated bill, determines whether or not the abnormal bill goes around on the basis of information relating to the abnormal bills. |
