<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam shaft adjustor capable of increasing impermeability, improving pressure-resisting performance, reducing structural complexity and manufacturing costs, improving reliability in operation, and reducing need of maintenance.SOLUTION: A sealing device 12 is for a cam shaft adjustor 1 having: a stator 3 capable of being driven by an internal combustion engine by using a belt; a rotor 4 capable of being rotated in a limited region to the stator 3 and rotated by a liquid pressure; and a distribution valve 8 including a piston for opening or closing a flow channel of a hydraulic medium or changing a flow direction. The sealing device 12 further has: a first fixing portion 13 capable of being firmly disposed on the cam shaft adjustor 1; a second fixing portion 14 capable of being firmly disposed on the piston; and a flexible membrane portion 15 disposed between the first fixing portion 13 and the second fixing portion 14. The cam shaft adjustor 1 has the sealing device 12 of a type in which the first fixing portion 13 is firmly disposed on the cam shaft adjustor 1, and the second fixing portion 14 is firmly disposed on the piston side.</p> |
