PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of charging a raw material into a blast furnace which enables formation, in the blast furnace, of a coke mixed ore layer with an in-furnace distribution of coke uniform in the radial direction of the blast furnace.SOLUTION: A raw material charging apparatus 4 includes an upper bunker 11, a tiltable upper chute 12, a lower bunker 14 which is connected to the upper bunker 11 with at least two ports 13 and a sieve 15 which has a side wall 15b and an opening 15c in a part of the side wall 15b. A raw material comprising ore 3 and coke 2 mixed together is dropped toward the sieve 15 arranged in the upper bunker 11 through the upper chute 12. The raw material falling the sieve surface 15a is supplied to a main port 13a through the opening 15c, while the raw material passing through the sieve surface 15a is supplied to all ports 13 including the main port 13a. With all the ports 13 in an opened state, the raw material in the upper bunker 11 is transferred to the lower bunker 14, and the raw material in the lower bunker 14 is charged into the blast furnace 1. |
