PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppression member and an installation method of a vibration suppression member which are capable of favorably suppressing vibration of a heat transfer tube.SOLUTION: A vibration suppression member 14 is placed in a gap between adjacent heat transfer tubes 5, and is come into contact with the heat transfer tubes 5 to suppress vibration of the heat transfer tubes 5. At least a contact face 81 in contact with the heat transfer tubes 5 has a dimple 91 capable of storing liquid. The dimple 91 has a plurality of dents 91a, each of which is formed to be dented with respect to the contact face 81.
