PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for testing blanks for folding, which can be used universally in various application cases that are extremely diverse.SOLUTION: A blank 2 for folding is folded toward at least one blade 12, so that the blade 12 is located between a plurality of layers 10, 14 of the blank 2 for folding. A component 16 is provided opposite the blade 12, outside the blank 2 for folding. Waves 17 are propagated between the component 16 and the blade 12.
