PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method of a TC enabling each frame to be uniquely identified even in the case of a video format with a frame rate higher than 60 fps, a TC signal generation device, a moving image recording/reproducing device, and a moving image editing device.SOLUTION: In an encoding method for encoding a time code that in order for a computer which processes video data to establish time synchronization of a video format having a predetermined frame frequency, is assigned to each frame of the video format, four sub-frame identifiers including two sub-frame identifiers in the case of 60 fps are sequentially given to each of frame numbers from 0 to 29 in the case of a video format of 120 fps, and the four sub-frame identifiers are represented by a code of two bits. |
