PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide recombinant cells that can produce crotonyl-CoA from synthetic gas etc.SOLUTION: Provided is a recombinant cell that can produce crotonyl-CoA from at least one C1 compound selected from the group consisting of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, formic acid and methanol, which recombinant cell is prepared by introducing a gene encoding at least one enzyme selected from the group consisting of acetoacetyl-CoA thiolase, 3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase and 3-hydroxybutyrate-CoA dehydratase to a host cell having functions to synthesize acetyl-CoA from methyltetrahydrofolate, carbon monoxide and CoA to be expressed in the host cell. |
