PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign substance detecting device and a method in a radio power transmission system.SOLUTION: A radio power transmission device measures initial transmission power transmitted by a primary core block to detect foreign substances on the basis of the initial transmission power, when a radio power receiving device confirms that the initial voltage of an output terminal connected to an external load is within a range of a reference voltage. Foreign substances are detected in an initial setting completed state of the radio power receiving device, i.e., in a state where output of the radio power receiving device is off, thereby reducing delay time to foreign substance detection and preventing a risk to heat generation of the foreign substances. |
