PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop control device for a vehicle capable of ensuring improvement effect of fuel economy by automatic stop by executing automatic stop of an internal combustion engine at a moderate frequency, and capable of elongating the service life of components related to automatic stop and restart.SOLUTION: In a stop control device for a vehicle of this invention, an internal combustion engine 3 is automatically stopped when a prescribed stop condition is established, and is automatically restarted when a prescribed restart condition is established. The prescribed stop condition includes the condition that a vehicle speed VP detected after automatically stopping the internal combustion engine 3 is a precondition vehicle speed VPHREF or more. A degradation parameter showing degradation progress of the vehicle V (operation frequency NSO of a starter motor 8, a total traveling distance DVT of the vehicle V, and the use number of years NVY of the vehicle V) is acquired (Step 31 in Fig.5, Step 41 in Fig.9, and Step 51 in Fig.10), and the precondition vehicle speed VPHREF is changed to a larger value as the degradation progress of the vehicle V shown by the degradation parameter is higher (Fig.5, Fig.6, Fig.9, and Fig.10).
