The device (10) has a tool carrier (15) for supporting a tool at the device and comprising a clutch element for coupling the tool with the tool carrier. The tool carrier is supported at a supporting device (11) and moved relative to the supporting device, where the tool carrier is moved from a zero position into a displaced position i.e. coupling position, by a controllable position actuator. The clutch element is positioned in the displaced position, in which the tool is coupled with the tool carrier by an autonomous return displacement of the tool carrier toward the zero position. The controllable position actuator is designed as a tilting cylinder, and the tool carrier is designed as a bilateral lever part. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a work vehicle with a quick change device (2) a method for coupling a tool on a working vehicle by a quick change device.
