PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting a horizontal stabilizer fault by using data produced by an aircraft during flight.SOLUTION: The method includes: receiving 102 data relevant to a characteristic of the pitch of an aircraft during flight; comparing 104 the received data to a reference pitch characteristic; predicting 106 a fault in a horizontal stabilizer system on the basis of the comparison; and providing 108 an indication regarding the predicted fault. |
