The invention relates to a magnet having pulverulent magnet material which is bound in a thermoset plastic carrier material, the filling degree of said magnet material being at least 80% by mass of the entire magnet. A stable construction is achieved in that the plastic carrier material is formed by a plastic polymer matrix which is produced from a BMC moulding compound.
