摘要 The present invention relates to a propulsion control system for an AC/DC train and a train including the same and, more particularly, to a propulsion control system for a train which uses both AC 25KV and DC 3KV input voltages and a train including the same. The propulsion control system for an AC/DC train according to the present invention comprises: a voltage sensor to sense an AC voltage or a DC voltage input to a catenary; an AC/DC changeover switch connected to the rear end of the voltage sensor to switch connection between an AC circuit and a DC circuit according to the AC/DC voltages sensed by the voltage sensor; an AC main circuit breaker connected to the rear end of the AC/DC changeover switch to control supply of the received AC voltage to a main transformer when the voltage input to the catenary is AC; the main transformer connected to the rear end of the AC main circuit breaker to supply the step-down AC voltage to a propulsion control device by stepping down the AC voltage input to the catenary; a DC main circuit breaker connected to another rear end of the AC/DC changeover switch to control supply of the DC voltage to the propulsion control device when the voltage input to the catenary is DC; and the propulsion control device to receive the step-down AC voltage output from the main transformer or the DC voltage output from the DC main circuit breaker, to convert the received AC voltage or DC voltage into a phase three AC voltage required for driving of a traction motor, and to output the phase three AC voltage to the traction motor.
