<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection instrument that reduces a burden of a medical examinee or a disadvantage thereof in a conventional colon cancer medical examination, enables many healthy persons to have an opportunity so as to be able to easily take a medical examination without hesitation, and reduces a mortality rate due to a colon cancer, and further, to provide an inspection instrument that enables a screening inspection using a correlation relationship between a colon cancer patient and methyl mercaptan since the screening inspection has not been performed and an inspection kit, a measurement device and like employing the screening inspection have not been attained, although the correlation relationship has been already reported.SOLUTION: An instrument comprises: a sensor that measures methyl mercaptan from a component of flatus discharged by a subject; a computation section that computes concentration of the methyl mercaptan obtained from the sensor; and a display section that allows a numeral value calculated by the computation section to be visually recognized. The instrument is provided that allows the subject to instantaneously, easily and inexpensively estimate a risk of an affection of the colon cancer.</p> |
