A blood component separation apparatus which is provided with a centrifugal separator and a container for receiving a prescribed blood component centrifugally separated and with which multiple blood collection cycles for collecting the prescribed blood component separated are conducted, including a calculation means for calculating a predicted extracorporeal circulating volume on the basis of a corrected hematocrit value obtained by correcting a measured hematocrit value determined with a blood cell counter. Further, the calculation means calculates a correction value, which is to be used in the correction, on the basis of: predicted extracorporeal circulating volume data in the multiple nearest preceding collection operations; and collected blood volume data observed in the first cycle of the multiple nearest preceding collection operations. |
