A wireless communication system includes: a filter; and a semiconductor chip including a signal processing integrated circuit having an amplifier, wherein a main surface of the semiconductor chip is provided with a plurality of electrode terminals along an edge portion thereof; wherein the amplifier has a transistor including a control electrode, a first electrode through which a signal is outputted, and a second electrode to which a voltage is applied; wherein the control electrode, the first electrode and the second electrode of the transistor are connected to the electrode terminals, respectively; and wherein none of wirings are arranged between the electrode terminals and placements of the control electrode, the first electrode and the second electrode, making space between the electrodes and the electrode terminals narrow.

1. A semiconductor device for use in a radio communication device, comprising:
a substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite each other: a plurality of external terminals disposed over the lower surface of the substrate; and a semiconductor chip having a main surface, mounted over the upper surface of the substrate via a plurality of bump electrodes, said semiconductor chip including:
a first low noise amplifier configured to amplify first radio frequency signals; anda plurality of pads disposed over the main surface of the semiconductor chip, wherein the plurality of pads includes:
a first pad coupled with an input node of the first low noise amplifier; anda plurality of second pads coupled with ground voltage level, wherein the first pad is located in a region defined by three of the plurality of second pads, and wherein within the region, no other second pad is located.
