The present invention relates to a solar cell. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the solar cell comprises a substrate containing a foreign material of a first conductive type; a front electric field unit containing a higher content of the foreign material of the first conductive type than the substrate, and arranged on the front of the substrate; an emitter unit containing a foreign material of a second conductive type which is opposite to the first conductive type, and arranged on the rear side of the substrate; a first electrode arranged on the front of the substrate and connected with the front electric field unit; and a second electrode arranged on the rear side of the substrate and connected with the emitter unit, wherein band gap energy of the front electric field unit can be 1.8-2.1 eV which is larger than band gap energy of the substrate to minimize light absorption of the front electric field unit. |
