An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a display device are disclosed. The apparatus for manufacturing a display device, of the present invention, comprises: an adhesive layer application unit for applying an adhesive material for forming an adhesive layer on a display panel; a curing unit which is disposed apart from the adhesive layer application unit, attaches the transported display panel in which the adhesive layer is applied, and cures or temporarily cures the outer portions of the adhesive layer by irradiating ultraviolet rays or heat after placing a mask; and an attaching unit which attaches the transported display panel in which the outer portion of the adhesive layer is cured, places a protective cover on the display panel, and attaches the protective cover and the display panel. |
