The present invention provides a vanadium redox flow battery that includes negative electrolyte and positive electrolyte including chloride ions and includes vanadium ions which are anions and active materials. Insoluble particles, formed with an ion exchange resin containing a quaternary ammonium salt, are impregnated in the positive electrolyte. According to the present invention, the positive electrolyte and the positive electrolyte additionally include sulfate ions.
