<p>The method involves distributing indicators of a power transmission system (4) in a group of indicators, and determining a threshold of abrupt change. A signal is calculated for each indicator, and the signals are added to a history of indicators. An abrupt change is determined for the group of indicators, and compared with the threshold. A brutal event is declared according to a logical rule based on a proven abrupt change of the group of indicators, and the brutal event is associated with a brutal event date, where an action is taken according to the date of the brutal event. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting and taking into account of an abrupt change in an indicator of a monitoring device.</p> |
