[Class 65 (ii)] A combined door hingeing and door holding device of the kind comprising a hinge leaf 20 secured to a door 18 and pivoted to a bracket 33 mounted on a hollow door supporting structure 19 so as to extend at all times through an opening in the wall of the structure, and retaining means, including a member carried by the bracket for releasably holding the door in predetermined open position, is characterised in that the part of the retaining means carried by the bracket is arranged within the hollow door supporting structure and is at all times in contact with the hinge leaf. The bracket is formed with an aperture for the hinge leaf and the portion 32 on one side of the aperture is formed with lugs 36 which carry the pivot pin 37, while the opposite portion is thickened and provided with a groove 41 in which is located a roller 40 urged by a spring 43 against an arcuate portion of the hinge leaf. The leaf is provided with a projection 42, which can over-ride the roller, and a second projection 38 to engage the bracket. |
