A mobile communication terminal and a communication method using the same are provided to recognize a presence change of a counterpart person, thereby simply setting a session for call connection. A wireless unit(110) receives a message including presence state information of a specific counterpart person from a presence server. A controller analyzes the received message to display a message informing an online state of a specific counterpart person. A display device(151) outputs the message according to a control signal of the controller. A speaker(152) outputs the message in audible sound form. |
