The present disclosure relates to a black box capable of recognizing a license plate by using revival information. The black box includes a photographing unit which continuously photographs a vehicle by using a camera accommodated in a black box; a storing unit which is stored with an image photographed in the photographing unit; a reviving unit which revives an image stored in the storing unit by an user; a user selection unit in which a user selects optional vehicle in the image revived in the reviving unit; and a selection processing unit which processes a resultant image after separating a vehicle license plate region selected in the user selection unit from the original image. The selection processing unit includes a letter recognizing unit which automatically recognizes a region corresponding to the vehicle license plate in optional vehicle image selected by the user selection unit, and changes an image corresponding to the vehicle license plate to a numeral or letter values. The selection processing unit includes a letter processing unit which displays a letter values recognized in the letter recognizing unit to a display part. The selection processing unit includes an image enlargement processing unit provides the resultant image after enlarging the image of the vehicle license plate separated from the original image. It is possible to display an image recorded in the black box without connecting to a personal computer, thereby confirming a number of the vehicle that a user desires.
