The method involves securing lateral guide parts (5) at a shell (4). A mounting manifold (6) is attached to shell-side bolts and is aligned over tab-like positioning elements in high direction. Pre-mount lateral tail lamps is attached at each guide profile. A plug connection is formed between a guide profile (8) and the lateral guide part. The tail lamps screw the guide profile to the shell. The bumper lining is advanced to a rear of a motor car (1) to drawn up with the guide profiles.
