The invention relates to the field of energy and is intended for producing energy by means of an oncoming wind air flow. The wind energy installation contains a wind energy receiving element (1), installed on a carriage (2) and capable of moving forward and backward along a guide (3) from one endpoint to the other and rotating around its own axis by means of a rotation device (4), an electric generator (5) and a return mechanism (6). The technical result consists in simplifying the design and increasing the reliability while maximally absorbing wind energy.
