PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film having a more strict alignment pattern.SOLUTION: A retardation film 1 includes: a substrate 11; a pattern alignment layer 12 having an alignment pattern and formed on the substrate 11; and a retardation layer 13 which comprises a cured product of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing a levelling agent having a perfluoroalkyl group and having less than 10,000 weight average molecular weight and which is formed on the pattern alignment layer. The perfluoroalkyl group preferably has 4 to 8 carbon atoms. The levelling agent is preferably included in a range from 1.0×10pts.wt. to 3.0 pts.wt with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the polymerizable liquid crystal composition. In the retardation film 1, a standard deviation of an alignment shift angle, which is defined by the absolute value of an angle difference between an alignment axis set upon forming the alignment pattern and an alignment axis of the retardation layer in each alignment pattern, is within 1 degree. |
