<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar optical waveguide whose input waveguide and output waveguide are formed at different ends of a base plate and that can be aligned without needing a space for the alignment at an emitting side end of the waveguide, an optical receiver device, and an alignment method for the planar optical waveguide.SOLUTION: A planar optical waveguide 10 comprises input ports 31 and 32 arranged on one end face of a base plate 20, an output port 40 arranged on the other end face of the base plate 20, couplers 51 and 52 formed over the base plate, a processor 60 that processes one of input light beams outputted from the couplers 51 and 52 and outputs the processed input light beam as an output light beam, and a spatial propagation unit 70 that propagates the input light beam outputted from the one of the couplers to the other coupler.</p> |
