HEAT RESERVOIR FOR PHASE CHANGE MATERIALS AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a heat reservoir for a phase change material which has a structure wherein the heat stored in the phase change material is not discharged easily to the outside, and to an air conditioning system using the same for improving thermal efficiency. The heat reservoir for the phase change material includes an external case (10); an internal case (20) disposed inside the external case (10); a heat exchanger (30) disposed inside the internal case (20); and the phase change material (40) filled in the internal case (20). Further, the heat reservoir for a phase change material according to the present invention includes fins (34) and louvers (35) formed inside the heat exchanger (30), wherein the height of each louver (35) is greater than 1/2 of the pitch (p) and less than the pitch (p) of each fin (34). The heat reservoir for a phase change material of the present invention has high thermal efficiency. The air conditioning system according to the present invention transmits the heat stored in the heat reservoir for a phase change material to cooling water upon the starting of an engine, thus improving fuel efficiency.
