PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an insulation coating wire material in which an insulation coating having thick and uniform thickness can be formed in a small number of steps and an insulation coating having uniform thickness can be provided in a required part necessary to ensure an insulation property.SOLUTION: A production method of an insulation coating wire material 10 having an insulation coating layer 7 comprises: a coating step of discharging an added insulation coating material 17 from a discharge port of a dispenser 5, and linearly or dottedly coating the added insulation coating material to a prescribed part in a surface of the wire material; and a coating film hardening step of hardening the added insulation coating material which is coated.
