SOLUTION: In a charging system including a charger and a telephone set, when the telephone set is set at a sterilization operation position of the charger, operation amount of the sterilization operation is set based on the index value of an index representing the degree of dirt of the telephone set (S2), and the sterilization operation is performed with the operation amount set in the charger in a state that the telephone set is set at a sterilization operation position (S3).
