The postural bench for providing lumbar control and rest is a rectangular cylinder located on the floor. When the bench is used in a standing position, it is used as a step and when it is used in a sitting position, in the office or home, it is located in the floor and the feet are put up, or it can be used in an alternate manner. This process enables the lumbar vertebrae to be aligned, promoting a more upright position. An upright posture and a straight back avoid muscular problems, facilitate a good oxygenation, provide an aesthetic appearance and improve the quality of life. The correct posture has to do with the symmetric alignment of the body; the physiological curves of the back must be maintained; this particular case refers to the maintenance of the lumbar region. The purpose of the inventive bench is to encourage people that spend long periods of time in a standing or sitting position to adopt a correct posture, and consequently, reduce the tension caused to the muscle-skelet al system. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the posture of the body and reduce, as possible, the loads supported by the back. The back must be straight as long as possible. The use of the inventive bench is a permanent recommendation of therapists, doctors and specialists, which helps in the rehabilitation of people with back problems. There is no postural bench for providing lumbar control and rest with the characteristics of the invention or any similar device that has been designed and manufactured for such purposes. The postural bench was designed based on the Mexican people typology. It is a product that may be acquired by any person: it is affordable and resistant. The cost is accessible, thus resulting easier to buy it than to build it. |
