This head-mounted display is provided with a display unit, a detection unit, and a first control unit. The display unit is designed so as to be mountable to a user's head and capable of providing said user with a field of view of real space. The detection unit detects the orientation of the display unit about at least one axis. The first control unit has a region limitation unit, a storage unit, and a display control unit. The region limitation unit is configured so as to be able to limit a display region along the aforementioned axis of the abovementioned field of view within three-dimensional coordinates that encompass the display unit. The storage unit stores, in association with said three-dimensional coordinates, an image that contains information related to a prescribed target object that exists within the field of view. The display control unit is configured so as to display the image in the field of view at the three-dimensional coordinates corresponding to the abovementioned orientation on the basis of output from the detection unit. |
