摘要

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a method for removing radioactive cesium or removing radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium, said method being a simple and low-cost method which does not require an energy source such as electric power, which can take a removed radioactive substance in a solid material and immobilize the radioactive substance therein stably, and which can attain volume reduction of radioactive wastes as necessary; and a hydrophilic resin composition to be used in the method. The purpose can be attained by using a hydrophilic resin composition which contains at least one hydrophilic resin that has at least a hydrophilic segment and that is selected from the group consisting of hydrophilic polyurethane resins, hydrophilic polyurea resins and hydrophilic polyurethane -polyurea resins and in which 1 to 180 parts by mass of a clay mineral as an essential component is dispersed relative to 100 parts by mass of the hydrophilic resin.
