<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently heating the surface of an image carrier without causing blocking and caking of a toner present around the image carrier, so as to effectively suppress the occurrence of image deletion.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier 14, a charging device 15, an exposure device 19, a developing device 16, transfer means 18, a recording medium conveyance path 4, and a cleaning device 17. The image forming apparatus further has a heating element 53 for heating the image carrier arranged on the opposite side of the developing device across a straight line passing an axial center of the image carrier and a contact point of the image carrier and the transfer means, and accommodated in a recess 51a of a resin member 51 constituting a conveyance surface on the transfer means side of the recording medium conveyance path.</p> |
