PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound wave detecting apparatus for piping use that can minimize the influences of noise from around, reliably detect only wavy signals from piping as a sound wave and be used for distinguishing various situations in different types of piping.SOLUTION: A sound wave detecting apparatus for piping use is so configured that a waveguide rod 1 that propagates wavy signals and a microphone 3 that detects a sound wave generated from the waveguide rod 1 is held by an apparatus body 8 in a state in which the microphone 3 and the waveguide rod 1 have a space 7 between a sound receiving part 3a of the microphone 3 and a base end part 1b of the waveguide rod 1, other regions of the waveguide rod 1 than the base end part 1b and the tip 1a are covered by sound absorbers 4 and 5, and the sound receiving part 3a of the microphone 3 and the space 7 are covered by a sound absorber 6, the tip 1a of the waveguide rod 1 serves as a piping contact end 2 that comes into contact with piping P in which fluid flows. |
