<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device favorable in the operability of an obstacle sensing structure.SOLUTION: An opening and closing device comprises: an opening and closing main body 11 which can be closed by its own weight while sliding; a movable seat plate 12 which is connected to the lower end of the opening and closing main body 11, and movable upward relative to the opening and closing main body 11; a brake mechanism 42 which brakes a closing operation of the opening and closing main body 11, and releases a braked state; and a seat plate interlock mechanism A which interlocks with the upward movement of the movable seat plate 12 during the closing operation of the opening and closing main body 11, and brings the brake mechanism 42 into the braked state from a released state. The seat plate interlock mechanism A has a tension raising mechanism 90 for raising the tension of a string-shaped member by the upward movement of the movable seat plate 12, and operates the brake mechanism 42 to the braked state from the released state by the tension of the string-shaped member. The tension by the tension raising mechanism 90 is adjustable.</p> |
