PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet metal columnar support which had an L-shape and a hollow structure with excellent in rigidity, appearance and dimension accuracy.SOLUTION: A columnar support 2 has: outside plates 10 connected in L-shapes in a plane view; outside end plates 11 connected to the outside plates 10; inside plates 12 connected to the outside end plates 11; and inside end plates 13 connected to the inside plates 12. Nuts 17 are attached to internal faces of the inside plates 12. A peripheral wall of a shell plate 1 also has a hollow shape, connecting metal fittings 5 are welded to protruded parts 14 of internal peripheral walls 8, and the protruded parts 14, the connecting metal fittings 5 and the inside plates 12 are co-fastened with bolts 16. Slits 18 are formed at regions at sides of the nuts 17 out of first folded lines 21 being boundaries between the inside end plates 13 and the inside plates 12. When performing bending-processing of the inside end plates 13, points of the nuts 17 cannot be pressed by a gripping metal mold, however, since the slits 18 exist, the bending-processing of the inside end plates 13 can be performed without trouble. |
