<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a hard disk drive on the basis of a specific operation mode suitable for the hard disk drive even when the hard disk drive is an optional added hard disk drive.SOLUTION: A processor (controller), upon attachment of a hard disk drive to a disk adaptor, operates the hard disk drive in a prescribed operation mode based on previously prepared prescribed parameter information. Specific parameter information including information concerned with a specific operation mode suitable for operation is previously stored in the hard disk drive. The processor reads out the specific parameter information from the hard disk drive in the prescribed operation mode and operates the hard disk drive in a specific operation mode based on the specific parameter information.</p> |
