PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of displaying an image such as a map by magnifying or reducing it with a desired scale by a simple operation.SOLUTION: A display device which displays an image comprises: detection means for detecting an input of a gesture by a user; and magnification reduction means for determining whether to magnify or reduce an image according to the gesture detected by the detection means, for determining a magnification rate or reduction rate to be applied, and further for deriving a display range on the basis of the range surrounded by the gesture.
