<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a variable valve train that can suppress local wear of a cam surface in a holding section in which valve characteristics are held.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine has a variable valve train 600 including: a variable mechanism part 300 for changing valve characteristics of an intake valve 31; a control shaft 340 for operating the variable mechanism part 300; a cam 530 abutting on the control shaft 340 to move the control shaft 340 in the axial direction; and a motor 210 for rotating the cam 530. A cam surface of the cam 530 includes a holding section in which the displacement amount of the control shaft 340 is fixed and the valve characteristics are held. When holding the valve characteristics by using the cam surface in the holding section, a motor control device 150 executes change processing for changing a contact position between the control shaft 340 and the cam surface within the holding section used for holding the valve characteristics.</p> |
