[Problem] To provide a flooded lead-acid battery in which short circuiting induced by permeation is unlikely to occur, and which has an excellent regenerative charging properties. [Solution] A flooded lead-acid battery comprising a negative electrode plate supporting a negative electrode active material, a positive electrode plate supporting a positive electrode active material, and a fluid electrolyte in which both electrode plates are immersed, the utilisation rate of said electrolyte being 75% or more, wherein the concentration of alkali metal ions or alkaline earth metal ions in the electrolyte is 0.07-0.3 mol/L, and the pore volume of the negative electrode active material after formation is 0.08-0.16 mL/g. |
