FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: method comprises reacting a ferric salt with sodium hydroxide in an aqueous medium containing fibrillated cellulose fibres (FCF). The resultant ferric hydroxide particles are immobilised on the FCF to form a sorbent.
