The present invention relates to a data processing method used to convert a two-dimensional tree structure to a three-dimensional tree structure and a recording medium thereof. The method includes the steps of; determining the size of respective areas occupied by each of multiple nodes on a predetermined plane in a three-dimensional space; determining the three-dimensional positions of the nodes based on the sizes of the areas occupied by the nodes; and displaying the tree structure in the three-dimensional space based on the three-dimensional positions and the sizes of the areas occupied by the nodes. Accordingly, the present invention can efficiently and intuitively display the tree structure in a limited space. |
