The auto hammer includes a striking rod 61 for continually striking a component to gradually insert the component into a workpiece. A clamping mechanism 5 includes at least one clamping element 52a-52d, a first biasing device 11, a second biasing device 12 and a sleeve 8. The sleeve is provided with slots and the clamping elements are movable in the slots relative to the sleeve such that the clamping elements are closed when located at a first position of the slots and the clamping elements are opened when located at a second position of the slots. The first biasing device is arranged for biasing the sleeve towards the component striking direction. The second biasing device is arranged for biasing a ferrule 10 toward the component striking direction. |
