<p>A method of preparing a lithographic printing plate, comprising: exposing imagewise a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support, an image-recording layer containing a polymerization initiator, a polymerizable compound and polyvinyl butyral and a protective layer containing polyvinyl alcohol in this order to cure an exposed area of the image-recording layer; removing an unexposed area of the image-recording layer and the protective layer using a development processing solution containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an alcohol having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a ketone having from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, a pyridine having from 5 to 10 carbon atoms, a phenol having from 6 to 10 carbon atoms and a compound represented by Formula (1) shown below in an amount of 0.1 to 20% by weight thereby forming an image:
